Only a bit more than 3 hours of hard labor brought our fourth blessing from the warmth of his mother's womb to the warmth of our loving arms.
Our Gracious Father used a multitude of resources and people to prepare our minds with the knowledge and tools to help Samuel and his mother through the travail of labor. He also was merciful to allow it be relatively easy and painless.
It was oh so encouraging to think back today on the entire birthing process and bask in the glory of our Sovereign Lord. He is clearly in the every detail of each of our lives. That was made more clear to our family with our gift from God, Samuel James Unger.
After his head was born, we noticed his cord wrapped around his neck, twice. It was very unceremoniously unwound before Natalie completed her work. The Giver of all good gifts provided a peace and calm to all of us that can only come from Him.
Later we noticed a true knot (although loose)in his cord. He must have done pre-birth acrobatics.
Today's rest and reflection in scripture has given us new and renewed perspective into the unfolding of divine time.
We welcome you to join us in celebrating this young soul arriving into our Father's World!

Praise to our glorious Lord and King! Congratulations! May the Lord give you wisdom and strength as you seek to raise up this quiver of arrows in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. He is our only foundation without whom there is no hope. We love you!
