Happy Birthday Gabriel

Four Years Old! This past week, Gabe decided he was now big enough to ride a bike without training wheels. He took off, and persisted through many falls. He doesn't always get things the first time, but that doesn't stop him (if it is something he wants to learn). Gabriel was riding well by the end of the day. Since then, he asks nearly daily to ride his bike in the garage. Our driveway is a steep slope, so he just turns in circles unless someone can go with him across the street on the sidewalk.

It was a great day just playing with Emma and Jonah. He enjoyed all the birthday calls, and usually started singing to them first. That is like him, not assuming that anything is for him. Gabe is more humble than some of the rest of us in this house! Here they are playing with his new wooden sword set.

He sure is funny too. I put a spaghetti recipe in the crock pot, but it turned into paste by dinner. I didn't make it differently than it said; however, it just didn't work out. Gabe told me, "Mom, this is really gross - but I still like you!" Thankfully Emma saved the day by making him his birthday cake, and that wasn't gross! He brings so much laughter to our family, and it is a joy to see him growing in the Lord. Happy Birthday Gabriel, we love you!

Happy Birthday Gabriel! Hope that you had a great one.

I hope that all is well with you all. Grandma Beard told me that it was getting close for the baby to come. I hope that all goes well and we will pray for a quick labor & delivery.

We went to Chatanooga,Tn this past weekend for a Taekwondo tournament. Breanna recieved a gold medal in her free form. ( that is where she takes different moves and puts it to music.) Breanna also recived a Bronze medal in her Traditional Forms. Ronnie placed 4th in forms and also in sparring. He was not happy that he recieved the Honor Medal ( he is really hard on himself)We told him that we are very proud of him and he should be proud of himself for going out an trying. It was a National tournament so lots of poeple from all across the nation.

Breanna had tryouts yesterday ( 21st) for the golf team at school and she made it. I guess 7 years of paying for golf lessons has helped. We are so proud of her. Ronnie will play baseball inthe spring. He has tryouts in Jan for that. He has moved up to machine pitch. He doesn't like that.

Glad to see that everyone is doing well and the kids are getting so big! Can't wait to see picutres of the new baby. we are planning a trip in the spring to visit Grnadma and everyone. talk to you later and we will see you in the spring.
